Is anyone else rereading the original Atlas comics in preperation for the new line of Atlas books?
I am. It may be awhile before I make it through all of them, especially given I still need to reacquire a bunch of them.
I started by reading Grim Ghost #1 yesterday. A couple legendary creators worked on that issue, Michael Fleisher and Ernie Colon. The perfect issue given today's Halloween.
I'll be finishing up Grim Ghost, then breaking out Ironjaw. :)

I read Grim Ghost 1,2 and 3 yesterday. I love Ernie Colon's artwork in issues 1 and 2. However, his work in issue 3 looked rushed. The cover to issue #2 is my personal favorite Atlas cover. I remember Jeff Rovin saying that they had to sneak that cover thru production as Martin Goodman probably would have squashed it.

I'll probably read the Phoenix next followed by Wulf. It will be fun comparing the old with the new. :hd

I noticed Tony Isabella wrote issue 3 instead of Michael Fleisher. I wonder why. :|

This is on my to-do list. Right now I am re-reading my original Marvel collection from 1976. Not sure how long this will take. Will eventually re-read my Atlas books in the order published, or at least the order that THE COMIC READER claims they were published.

I'm pretty sure that editor Larry Lieber was given an edict by Martin Goodman to hire as many Marvel personnel as he could. He wanted the Atlas tiitles to look and read like Marvel Comics.

I've been re-reading them lately as well...a couple of years ago I had all the titles (except for the hard-to find Vickis)bound up in hardcover...glad I did it now!

I already read Captain Victory and the Galactic Rangers an excellent series and just finished Thunderstrike which will start a new series. I loved Atlas especially Planet of Vampires. and Sgt Strykers death squad. There is a sale at my comic shop tommorrow 65% of all back issues I will pick some issues I don;t have. adious.

I'm reading again all of the books starting in the order with which they are being updated and relaunched as I find them. The Grim Ghost is my favorite of them all and the new zero issue delivers the goods on all counts. Nice to see the Braddock character carried over to the new series as he seems to be the main protagonist/nemesis of The Grim Ghost once again! I'm curious to see what other characters from the original series will make an appearance!
