Hi Jason,

With the recent success of comic book stories and characters in visual media (tv and movies), are there any plans for Atlas to move their characters to either tv or movies? If so, which character is most likely to get the superstar treatment first?

Also, another one if I may, will you be looking to move in to more merchandise? We've already seen Atlas t-shirts, notebooks and even the Grim Ghost statue, are there any plans to expand this line any time soon?

Hi Walnuts,

We certainly plan to move into movies & tv - in fact, there has already be quite a bit of interest 8-)

At this point, it would be hard to say what direction each title/character would take when it comes to filmed entertainment. Our top priority is developing great stories as comic books, as that is the true foundation. We have our own internal opinions about which title should be studio tent poles, genre films, the next Walking Dead on AMC, etc.. but we will see how it all goes :D

As for merchandise, we are just trying to make fun stuff at the moment. A more commercial strategy will emerge over time. As always, feel free to make suggestions.

All the best!

Jason

Mr. Goodman,

Glad to see you here! I'm actually here because of you! I sent you a suggestion about putting a message board !@*$ the Atlas site, and you sent me here! By the way, thanks for the packages of Comic Books! You guys are doing a great job, the books are fantastic! My pull !@*$ my local shop includes anything Atlas, including the old stuff from "Back in the day." ( I scored a GG#1 and a Wulf #1 last week!)

It's nice to see that the people who Make the comics care enough to come to the message board. Trust me, that is not the case on a lot of boards. I've always been impressed by the fact that you actually respond to my mail, and that in your responses, you actually answer my questions.

I'm on board and preaching the word to anyone who will listen. I wish you and your company all the best!

Hi Brian,

Thanks for the post, the encouragement, and your ongoing support - it is greatly appreciated!

Keep enjoying ATLAS, and always let us know what you think!

All the best!

Hi Jason

Thanks for reviving Atlas. Also thanks for coming on here to answer questions.

I loved Atlas back in the 70's & I love it today. Hopefully you can get the delays under control. I also hope sales pick up with word of mouth.

After Atlas United what are your long term plans? For example will your current 3 titles be back? Will you be launching more titles? (I'm pulling for Tiger Man!).

Hi Jason!

Can you let us in on why the Atlas logo changed from the #0 books to the current "Atlas Original" logo?

Thanks
Mark

Hi Michael,

Wow, I sure am getting a lot of Tiger Man posts & emails these days... HMMMMMM.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

We will get the delays under control very shortly.

All of our current series will continue - as we have barely scratched the surface of their exciting adventures! We do plan some more launches too and, of course, ATLAS UNIFIED will bring back some ATLAS favorites :D :D

All the best!

Jason

Hi Mark,

Thanks for the question.

I don't wan't to over-elaborate as this is currently the subject of legal action, but....

A "squatter" registered the name Atlas Comics with the trademark office several years ago in an attempt to block/extort any comeback of ours. His registration lacks any merit, infringes on our longstanding rights, and will be cancelled - but it takes a bit of time. In the meantime, we are using ATLAS ORIGINAL - after all, ATLAS is the original independent.

All the best!

Jason

Dear Jason,

Any chance you could update your Twitter account on a regular basis? Like daily? lol.

It's just that I see other companies use it effectively (IDW brings to mind) and by updating every day with small things, it helps to keep Atlas fresh in people's minds, if you know what I mean? I noticed you didn't even bother to update the account when the last batch of comics were released.

Hi Jason -

Thanks for taking the time to respond to everyone's questions! Also, I would like to thank you for the Atlas Archives ad that has appeared in all the Atlas Comics to date! :at

I have a few more questions for you...

How many issues will the Atlas Unified series run ?

When will the current series return after the first story arcs are done? Will the creative teams remain the same ?

Any plans to reprint the original Atlas titles? If so, What format are you considering ?

Thanks

Phil
