Discuss your Atlas collection in this thread! I'm having to start over at ground zero, having just purchased my first books,
a high grade Ironjaw run of #1-4 on eBay, in an effort to go back and get the Bronze Age Atlas issues. It could be slow going for me, but I'm hoping to rebuild my collection slowly but surely.

Good luck Mark, there are a lot of mid-to-low grades out there, finding higher grades requires much patience and vigilance (and dough!) :D

Without question, Gothic Romances is the hardest to find. The 4 issues of Vicki are also hard to find in high-grade. The following are also pretty scarce in high grade -

Blazing Battle Tales 1
Demon-Hunter 1
Hands of the Dragon 1
Fright 1

I've also found the 3rd and 4th issues of most titles hard to get in high-grade.

Phil

Very good points, Phil.

I have hunted for the Gothic Romances #1, but the prices it commands (when it rarely appears) have me hoping the new Atlas will reprint it! 8-)

I have a couple of the Vickis, but in good to lousy shape...they ARE tough to find!

Agreed also about the 3rd and 4th issues (those that made it that far)...but, eventually they DO turn up. :D

Thanks. I was fortunate to find a vf-nm Ironjaw set for a bit under 10.00 shipped. Can't wait to get 'em.

Thanks. I'm already thinking about what to get next. This should be fun, rebuilding my Atlas collection slowly, but surely, as I look forward to the new books. :yah

Try Weird Suspense...Pat Boyette's art evoked a very macabre mood, which complemented the stories of The Tarantula well.

Thanks. I just bought a set in mid-grade on your suggestion.
I think I had all those as a kid. I haven't read or even owned any of the Atlas books in over 30 years. It's going to be interesting to see how much I remember.
