Anyone have any thoughts on Atlas Unified? Yeah, that's pretty broad, I know, but I'm curious about it.

I've enjoyed the two issues put out so far. If nothing else, it's great to see a whole slew of Atlas/Seaboard characters revived. It was really cool to see Vicki return (no one could have seen that coming). The art has been very good for the most part. Some pages/panels appear rushed but still a very nice job by Jimbo Salgado.

As for the writing, I really enjoyed how Tom Peyer actually took two other characters that appeared in the original Vicki comics and incorporated them into Atlas Unified. Nice touch!
It will be interesting to see how the three main characters (Grim Ghost, Phoenix and Wulf) interact what roles the secondary characters will play.

Looking forward to issue #2. :tu

I really enjoyed the first issue! I am really looking forward to following it. I hope they can keep it coming out in a reasonable fashion.

Hi.
I just wanted to see what everyone thought of Atlas Unified #1? I've been looking forward to this one but was horrified at the artwirk. It really is bad -and why is the Grim Ghost now a mummy swathed in bandages????

The two local comic shops say I'm now the only person with a standing order for Atlas -everyone else has cancelled and complained about the art.

This is very sad. If the Atlas characters were so "great" that the new company HAD to revive them why could they not get good artistic teams? According to a friend at Diamond UK the Atlas titles "are doing very badly. The ship is sinking"

I have to say that when Unified #2 turns up if the art is the same I'm also cancelling.

This is very very VERY depressing.

Terry -

I moved your post to this thread.

As I mentioned before, I like the art. A bit rushed in places but still to my liking. However, I do respect your opinion about the artwork. I would not expect much in the way of change with issue #2.

It appears that everyone from Atlas/Ardeen is now silent. No updates to the website in months. We last saw an issue of Wulf and Phoenix over 3 months ago. It is very depressing.

Well, they did point out (on Facebook) that Wulf and Phoenix 5 and 6 were resolicited for March and April. So there's some communication, but you have to look pretty hard for it.

Still, it blows my mind that I am unable to order AU1 when it's been in stores for 2-3 weeks now.

Maybe they don't get many mail orders but still. Don't leave those stones unturned.

Is this company dead in the water?

I really, really hope it's not over. This stuff has been a bright spot in the hobby for me since it began. Whatever is going on, I wish Jason and everyone else involved the best.

Likewise. I admit I also wondered whether they were done for a while there, but since AU1 just came out and they are still planning the releases of other issues, I feel better about it.

Deneen said something about having had issues (no pun intended) with the missing #5's, which is fine, but I can't understand why updating the website is such a challenge. :con

Don't understand why Jason has gone dark so suddenly either. Perplexing to say the least.
