Hello there. I just joined the forum, and I thought I'd post a brief note.

I didn't really know the Atlas/Seaboard story until recently. I saw it mentioned on a different message board (Marvel Masterworks) and quickly ran across this site. I found the history of the company to be very interesting.

Last weekend I went to FallCon in Minnesota and picked up around 40 issues from 1975 from a dollar box. I'm planning to track down the whole set and have them bound into a series of hardcover volumes.

Hi David and Welcome to the Boards! Binding the Atlas-Seaboard color comics is a fun project which I have done myself. Finding the 4 issues of Vicki will probably be the toughest challenge you face. Good Luck!

Thanks. I considered calling the collection complete without the Vicki issues, but I decided I'm going to leave them on the wantlist. Hopefully I can find them misfiled in a Archie bargain box or something....

Hi all,

Long time comic book/graphic novel reader/collector. In fact, my entire family is, going as far back as my grandfathers (on both sides) collected and pass down the tradition. My family get togethers are Marvel vs DC wars that last for several nights :)

Growing up I was a Marvel fan with a few selections in the DC U that I enjoyed but that did not last as early as 10 I started looking for alternatives and I searched NYC for some variety. I found it in books that I probably should not have had access to: Heavy Metal, Faust, Razor, Dead Center, TMNT and more.

Once I went indie, I was pretty much going to stay there. I discovered Atlas comics during trips to a local grocery store where they sold bundle comics 2 for $1 with a bonus sticker or baseball card. I ended up collecting Phoenix a long with a lot of other books that came from 'dead universes.'

Now I am enjoying Wulf and Grim Ghost. :D

Not yet. I read a few issues and I like it but I have a self imposed limit on the amount of single issue comics I bring home. Wulf and Grim Ghost have my attention. Atlas United is also included in that.
