Even though I'm in Philly, I'd like to visit Texas...the last time was San Antonio about 30 years ago. :D

Hi Phil.

Earl Davis here from the British Isles.

I picked up my first Atlas comic in around 1981 or 1982, it was Targitt issue 1. 30 years later I have still not finished off my original Atlas set but I only have 3 of the comic strip publications to go. (I am not interested in the text mags).

I can be found on online on the UK comics forums, the ComicsPriceGuide.com forums and less often at CGC and the variants section of the STL forums.

I live in Staffordshire, started reading comics in 1972 and collecting comics in 1978 with Star Wars. I am a completionist and like to get title sets, year sets and publisher sets. I like stuff from the Platinium Age through to moderns. I like statistics and checklists.

I am a fan of the new line so far

Nice to have you on board Earl!

Hi all
Like Phil, I'm on the Atlantic coast of Canada and a big fan of the "first wave" of Atlas titles. They were a treasured part of my childhood and I'm looking forward to seeing what the "second wave" has to offer.
Cheers!

I joined these boards awhile ago but never posted on this thread.

My name is Michael. I have been reading comics since 1966. My Dad got me started in this hobby. He loved comics & heroes when he was a kid so every week he brought me home a $1 worth which at that time bought 6 books! Sometimes he will still read one of my trades. In 1968 I started picking out my own books. I have worked in a comic store when I was in college. I sold my entire collection in 1992 for a down payment to buy my house. Currently I read DC. Marvel. Dark Horse. Dynamite. Atlas.

My youngest daughter is 16 & is into comics. She is named after Supergirl. She mostly reads teen heroes like Red Robin & female heroes like Supergirl. I'm proud that my family has 3 generations of comic book readers!

Thanks Phil! I was a member one time at the old Yahoo group but kinda drifted away. Picked up the three #1s today. Kinda jazzed about seeing what the new Atlas has to offer.

Hi. I'm Brian. I live in Massachusetts With my Wife and kids. I'm 40 now, and I was 7 when I first developed an interest in comics.( Long story.) I've been a slave ever since! I've been Collecting off and on (mostly on) since then.I've been Drawing constantly since before I can remember.

In 2005 A Friend, Iann Robinson, and I started a VERY small press company, Called isolation disorder press, and With the purchase of a full-scale Konica/Minolta Copy Machine we started putting out books. (This is not a PLUG!!! I'm not trying to spam you with my stuff!) We are still at it today.

I've Collected From all the publishers, big and small, indiscriminately. Where Superhero stuff is concerned, I've always been primarily a DC Guy. With the ending and Re-launching of EVERY title in the DC line, I decided to alter my collecting to stop following as many new Monthlies, and fill in some Back areas in the Collection.

I've been so AMPED on the new ATLAS line that Filling the Holes in my Original Atlas runs seemed like a no-brainer. After the Disappointment of the Recent Gold Key/Valiant character relaunch by a competitor, I was very skeptical About the Atlas relaunch. I was way wrong to have worried. The first three issues blew me away! I've been on board for anything Atlas since.

I am also a Nerd-Level music fan and amateur musician.

I look forward to joining this community and meeting everyone!
